| Anyone who may be inclined to acknowledge any positive reviews of this establishment, please do not. I understand why someone (like myself) would take the time to write a bad review about a company that has just ripped them off as they are angry and sick of dishonest mechanics. However, I can’t image why anyone who had just had their car repaired, would make the effort to jump on line and write a positive review unless requested to do so. Clearly, the positive reviews have come from within the company or friends and family of the company. Please avoid blueprint automotive at all costs. My girlfriend was selling her 5 year old Corolla and just got a 70K service at Toyota. 2 weeks after the service and about 5kms of further driving she had sold the car and needed to get the RW certificate. She took it to Blueprint early one morning and they called her mid morning to tell her the brake pads need to be replaced and it needs a wheel alignment and it would cost $480. Obviously this didn’t sound right so she told me and I called Toyota to check the record of the recent service. They advised the brake pads had 3mm left when they serviced it, which was more than enough to last until the next service and RWCs required 1mm remaining. They also advised, wheel alignment is not required for RWCs. Toyota suggested it was almost impossible for these problems to exist on that car and offered to provide a RWC at the same price and fix any problems free of charge. However, as the car was being picked up by the new owner the following morning and we were both at work, getting the car back from blueprint and over to Toyota would have been a major struggle. My girlfriend decided to authorize the repairs as it seemed all too hard. She spoke to the receptionist who said the car was out for a test drive but the message would be passed on. I then called blueprint to advise the car had just been serviced and asked him to elaborate on the problems. He said the brake discs needed to be machined because they were scored and this had damaged the pads so they need to be replaced and the front end alignment is way out. When I mentioned that alignment is not a condition of RW, he said it does if it’s affecting the tyres and the steering wheel is off??? hmmmm. The responses were very wishy washy and he was quite sheepish when questioned. I asked for a schedule of repairs/ quote to be faxed through. This never came through. I decided that I was going to take the rest of the day off work and cancel the repairs and take the car to Toyota. When I called up they said they had already machined the discs and the car was in pieces. Amazing how they had managed to take it for a test drive and machine the discs less than 45mins after my girlfriend gave the go ahead. Obviously we had no choice but to pay the money get the RWC. Toyota Brighton were very helpful throughout and were willing to put their time and money on the line. Their assurance that these problems could not have been there during the service was backed up by the fact they guaranteed to fix any issues free of charge. Once I advised it was too late, they requested I bring them the old brake pads just for their own piece of mind. I would strongly advise against taking your car to Blueprint Automotive, especially if you are not mechanically minded and able to question their quote. And please, if you don't believe me, read the postive and negative reviews and ask yourself which of them sound genuine. |

| Very Strict for Road worthy Certificate, Not to be trusted, I can't comment on there work manship but if your going there to get a road worthy certificate I'd think again. 3 items failed the test.. While quoting me a almost $1000 repair bill.. When taken to well known named garage a bit further down the road it passed with flying colours.. Also the car had passed it's road worthy 6 months ago through a Holden car dealer.. Admittedly they where cheap with no waiting time but I paid the consequences in the end paying for 2 inspections.
